Blogging with Bliss: A Great Giving Tree Has Many Branches

Our annual suit drive is just days away! This will be the fourth suit drive that I've assisted with as a member of the Escoe Bliss team and it warms my soul to think of how our suit drive has grown through the years.

The very first Escoe Bliss Suit Drive Benefiting Working Wardrobes was held in September of 2008. This event was first mentioned by Jolynn Atkins who had previously volunteered at Working Wardrobes and witnessed first-hand the impact they made in the local community. She was passionate about the organization and that it would be a perfect fit for the Escoe Bliss charity of choice. With the support of the rest of the Escoe Bliss team Jolynn set forth on an endeavor to support Working Wardrobes. It was a contagious endeavor that was destined to spread outside the doors of Escoe Bliss.

Throughout the years the suit drive has found itself in numerous locations. Suit drives have popped up in the lobbies and break rooms of other local businesses and onto the agendas of professional society luncheons and dinners. It just goes to show that you just can't keep a good thing down! Active participants and contributors to our own Escoe Bliss Suit Drive came, saw, and then returned to their offices and said, "Hey! As the Escoe Bliss team prepares for our Suit Drive to begin on Monday we can feel only gratitude and pride as we continue to see so many of our contacts share in our excitement for this wonderful cause! Together, over the years, we have collected thousands of professional clothing items that have brought hope to thousands of men and women who have received assistance from Working Wardrobes.
